Active Airflow UV-C Fixtures
The Energy Harness® Active-Airflow UV-C Fixture is designed to eliminate airborne pathogens and fits into standard commercial ceiling grids found in offices, schools, and medical facilities.
Research shows most bacteria and viruses are spread through airborne particles. UV-C light (especially 265–280nm) is highly effective in neutralizing these pathogens.
This fixture continuously circulates room air through an enclosed UV-C chamber, disinfecting it safely and quietly. Using advanced LED technology, it delivers precise UV-C dosages for reliable pathogen elimination.
What is UV-C?
Ultraviolet (UV) light ranges from 100nm to 400nm, while visible light spans 400nm to 700nm. UV-C, a powerful segment of UV light (especially between 260–275nm), is most effective at inactivating pathogens.
How Does UV-C Work?
UV-C light in the germicidal range between 260–275nm disrupts the DNA of bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens, preventing them from functioning or reproducing.
How Does Energy Harness UV-C Work?
Energy Harness uses advanced 265nm high-powered UV-C LEDs in a sealed Active Airflow fixture. As air circulates through the unit multiple times per hour, pathogens are exposed to germicidal UV-C light—safely and effectively neutralizing them without harming people.
What is UV-C Dosage?
UV-C dosage depends on intensity, exposure time, and duration, measured in millijoules per centimeter squared (mJ/cm²). The system precisely controls dosage and airflow to ensure each microorganism gets enough exposure to be inactivated.
